Shahsavari began his professional journey in cinema in 1993, working as an editor on ‘Crossing the Trap’, directed by Gholamreza Ramezani.
While the film was not as successful as some of his later projects, it provided him with valuable experience and the opportunity to collaborate with veteran actors such as Davoud Rashidi, Habib Dehqan-Nasab, and Shamsi Fazlollahi.
One of the most defining moments of Shahsavari’s career came in 2006 when he edited the historical TV series ‘Shahryar’.
Shahsavari continued to make his mark in both film and television. In 1995, he worked on the hit series ‘In Your Protection’, directed by Hamid Labkhandeh, where he collaborated with actors such as Azita Lachini, Hassan Joharchi, and Parsa Pirouzfar.
Though primarily known as an editor, Shahsavari has also taken on roles as a producer and writer.
His production credits include TV series such as ‘Whisper’, ‘The Judges’, ‘Among the Shadows’, and ‘The Innocent Ones’, along with films like ‘My Little Song’ and ‘Inferno’, ‘Purgatory’, ‘Paradise’.
As a writer, his works include ‘Whisper’, ‘The Judges’, ‘No Goodbye’, ‘A Real Report’, and ‘When the Sun Rises’.
In 2004, Shahsavari won the Crystal Simorgh for best editing at the 23rd Fajr International Film Festival for ‘We Are All Fine’, directed by Bijan Mirbaqeri. He was also nominated in 2011 for his work on ‘No Goodbye’, directed by Ahmad Amini.
With a career spanning decades, Saeed Shahsavari remains a key figure in Iranian cinema, recognized for his skillful editing and broader contributions to the industry.
